When God began opening my eyes to some truths in His Word, particularly about obedience to His commandments, I wondered if I was going in the wrong direction. Maybe I was hearing wrongly? Maybe I was deceived? Everyone else seemed to believe differently. How can obeying God's commandments be right if no-one else is doing it? When I started being obedient to what God was telling me through His word and His Spirit, I received criticism rather than encouragement. My mind wrestled with these new beliefs... the old doctrines were ingrained from 40 years of diligent church attendance and years of Bible College.

Scripture tells us that we are to be people who are HOLY, that means we are to be SET APART. This means we will be DIFFERENT.

We are to be completely different from the people of this world. God's kind of different. Doing things God's way, not the world's way. Seeking God's kingdom, not our kingdom. Seeking God's will, not our own.

Being different isn't easy. Sometimes it's really lonely. Sometimes it's discouraging. Sometimes it feels like rejection. So, I'm here to let you know, if you're on this path of following God no matter what, you're not alone. No, you're not! Even if it seems like it because you don't know a single soul in your world who agrees with you. All over the world people are returning to the truth - that the whole of Scripture is true, that God has never changed, and God's commands still have relevance to us today.

People are returning to the God of the Bible. They are discovering the richness that Scripture holds when we understand that God is not schizophrenic! The Scripture tells the same story from beginning to end. Understanding the beginning gives greater understanding to the end of the book. We know that "ALL Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness," (2 Timothy 3:16.) And the only 'Scripture' they had was the "OLD" Testament!

If you're not on this path yet, I would encourage you to consider it, even if it is outside of your current beliefs. Why? Because it's Biblically sound. It's God's desire and heart for you. It will be a blessing to you, both now and eternally. You have God's word on that.
