Counting the Omer

A wonderful way to build expectancy to Shavuot (Pentecost)!

This year I used a gorgeous product made by Amy Guenther to count up to Shavuot. You can find her omer count printables on torahsisters.com in her 'free printables' section.

I used the gum tree-themed omer-counting printable. I laminated the sheets and cut out each piece for every day of the omer count. Then I attached them to the back of a large poster with Blu-tac. They could have been put straight onto the wall but I wanted to be able to take it off in one piece.

This is how it looked! To be honest, the photo does not do it justice.

It was so pretty! Everyone who came to the house asked about it.
This provided a wonderful opportunity to talk about Passover and Shavuot!

I found a picture of a sheaf, copied 50 to the page, printed, laminated and cut them out. For each day of the omer-count we stuck a sheaf over that day.

This has helped keep our focus on Shavuot, reminding us to pray.

This is how is looked after 44 days.

Only a few more days to go! I hope you all have a wonderful Shavuot. May YHVH do wonderful things in your life!

"In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."

Acts 2:17

Shalom

Much love and shalom to you and your family.
